They are a beautiful family from my church Desert Springs –
http://www.desertsprings.net/I have been hoping for the opportunity to photograph this family for quite awhile now.
When you see their two little boys— you’ll know why!
I gotta say that taking family portraits is not easy with little ones! I am learning to be as fast as possible!
Of course it helps when Mom & Dad do a little tickling!
Lucas and Jason are so stinking adorable!
Jason had been napping… he had to warm up to the idea of taking photos.
I promised him a red lollipop— that seemed to help!
Lucas was ready to go…
Now what’s a big brother for…. but to look up to!
… and to walk this journey of life with!
This shot is one of my favorites. Just a little bit of Lucas’s personality coming through!
He was amazing!
And Jason? I don’t even think angels are this cute— look at that face!!
Mom & Dad, you should be proud of these beautiful boys!
There’s just nothing like being in Daddy’s big strong arms!
O.K… I’m tired now— leave me alone!
Jason was SO excited to finally get that lolipop I promised him! Yum!
Lucas was such a character… First I’ll dance a bit for you— then I gotta go be
KING OF THE HILL ———- See ya!
Now THAT”S being full of LIFE!
Thank you Shaver Family!! It was a joy!
God Bless you–

It began on Friday. My husband started to loose his hair. A small dose of reality sets in for me. I guess I didn’t realize that he would begin to loose his hair after only one dose of chemo… wow!
It has been so nice for the last 2 weeks. A reprieve for all of us. No chemo, no radiation. But I knew this day would come.
I knew the real battle was just around the corner. Tomorrow Peter begins more chemo, and daily radiation for 6 weeks.
The 2 week reprieve was wonderful while it lasted.
Friday night– I snapped some shots of Peter at Julia’s soccer game… and took photos throughout the weekend.
So today we had some fun… we had a hair cutting ceremony with the kids.
Lissy had the honors of the first cut…
Peter was making some hilarious faces…
O.K… so we’re almost there. Peter left just a little bit for fun.
Wow… it grew back fast! Right!
Momo was so moved by the entire event….. can you see the emotion?
And here’s the final “look”
Peter especially wanted his close friend’s back in Canandaigua, New York –
to see “Kukas” without any hair.
So here we go… Lissy drew a face on him
great job Lissy!

I am such a sucker for photo jewelry! It has always intrigued me.
I actually have a memory maker photo bracelet that I have worn for the longest time.
I still love to wear it!
Well, I am really excited to share with you that I have an entire line of photo jewelry that will be available for you just in time for the holidays!
The entire line is .925 solid sterling silver fine jewelry, not silver-plated. Each piece is made to last a lifetime.
Your photo is reproduced on the jewelry and completely sealed, making it waterproof, fade-proof and scratch resistent. It can be worn anywhere, the shower, the pool or even while you do the dishes.
For the photo pendants above, you have a choice of 2 types of silver chains or a black leather band.
There are rings:
Bracelets & watches
Mens Gifts:
And plenty of other items like charms, cell phone charms, key chains and even business card holders! Now I have to get that one!
Christmas Ornaments:
And you can even add little charms to your items if you like:
It’s just an amazing collection of photo jewelry! I love going beyond the typical when it comes to photos. Why not display your loved ones in a way that will last forever!
These items truly do become family heirlooms that can be handed down to generations!
So when you’re doing your Christmas shopping this season— remember that this is a one of a kind gift that lasts a lifetime!

My business cards arrived! Lots and lots of them! A whole big box of them— wow!
O.K…. 5000 of them to be exact.
I ordered more than I’ll probably ever need.
Although my kids have already promised to hand out TONS of them.
So if moms start finding my business card in their child’s backpack– they’ll know why!
Julia liked the back of the card the best… of course it’s HER picture on it.
I had originally wanted to have more than one image… but it just came down to too much work for right now and a few other little things.
So this is it!
I will say that when you look at the card, the photo on the front almost looks 3 dimentional.. it’s pretty wild! I really love it!
I’m very happy with these! Dennis with Pizazz did a nice job!

I am SO happy to have a nice clean home. Thanks to a visit from my amazing sister, we attacked my house this weekend and removed every form of dust possible–
Whew!! I want to sing that song, “What a Feeling” from the 80′s!
Crazy as it seems, now I feel I can really face the next few months… there’s just a nice peace that comes from a good clean home.
Thank you Sister–
AND– thank you Clint for coming over and putting together Julis’a bookshelf. It had been sitting in the garage for quite awhile.
I have missed posting! I am glad to be back!

Oh my gosh – I love your photos. I am Kristen Shaver’s sister Linda. I had tears rolling down my eyes – I loved the photos SO much. You captured so many facets of the boys personalities – it is amazing – and neat family moments. I have never really seen such a portfolio of portraits. I wish we lived closer and I would hire you in a heartbeat to shoot my family. Best wishes to you . . . .
