Marely had a small procedure done last week. It all began when he broke one of his nails on Christmas eve. The vet took a sample of his blood… and found a few levels in his liver were elevated.
She did an x-ray and saw something very interesting. It looked like Marley had swallowed a dogtag! There was a cirlce with a small rectangle sticking out of it.
So we had to have a the vet basically go into his belly to remove this item. They did not have to have surgery… whew! But nevertheless.. it would not be a great day for our dog.
Well, what they found was WAY more then they bargained for. They proceded to pull out of Marley’s belly, the following items:
3 quarters
2 nickels
1 dime AND… a small little rectangle necklace that belonged to Alissa!
95 cents and a necklace! Sounds like a country song!
When I got the call from the vet describing what they had found, I couldn’t believe it! I just thoought… ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I of course SWORE to them that I feed my dog dogfood …
and the amazing thing is that there were NO PENNIES!!! Yay! Pennies can be very dangerous if swalloed by a dog. So thank you gardian angel over dogs! I am thankful!
YOU gottal LOVE THAT FACE!!
We LOVE YOU Marley…
What the heck… does my dog have an identity crisis and think he’s a puppy bank?
Well, they did retrieve all of these items safely form his belly.. and he went home to rest for the day!

I had such an amazing time photographing the Hayes family! The kids were incredible and this family was so natural in front of the camera! It was truly an honor to capture some of these moments!~

During my first year in photography, taking family portraits scared me!! I was never quite sure what to expect and I wasn’t sure exactly what I was hoping to capture. I honestly would say a prayer on the way to my shoot, asking God to help me capture something good. Then I’d pray on the way home.. hoping I caught something good.
Well, I still pray that simple prayer… but I have come to LOVE taking family portraits. I think because I now have such a better feel as to what I am looking for… hoping for.
And also… I KNOW the value of capturing relationships through photography. I KNOW how priceless a family photo can be. I have a few of my own. This is the gift I hope to give each of my clients…
capturing through photography, PRICELESS, beautiful – real – moments of our relationships with the people that matter most in our lives… family!
I have several family sessions that I will post over the next few days. I’m playing catch up blogging for family holiday portraits taken this season. Here are just a few of my favorites from the beautiful Sturdevant Family.
I hope you enjoy!
