On a personal note…

I really don’t shoot weddings very often at all. They’re just too difficult to manage with my kids being involved in so many activities. Given a choice on a Saturday to shoot a wedding or go to a soccer game or band competition, my kids win every time!
But recently, there was a Saturday that was completely open… NO KIDS STUFF! Amazing actually! I got a call – pretty last minute, asking if I was available to do a wedding. I felt some kind of connection to this person, so it was like I felt like I was supposed to do it… for whatever reason! SO I did!!
It was a joy to shoot – truly. And I will be posting some photo soon. BUT – can you believe that I actually allowed someone to take this photo of me that night? I rarely EVER hand my camera off to anyone – even my kids. Someone really wanted to take MY picture, so I went ahead and I let them. Unusual. I don’t get many photos taken of me. so here I am – just wanting to say hello to you. So from me to you – just want to say… Sending you much love!!
Also, I would like to say THANK YOU FOR EVEN VISITING MY BLOG AND TAKING THE TIME TO CHECK IN ON ME. I TRULY DO APPRECIATE YOU!! I’ve been crazy busy recently, so I’ve stunk at blogging in the past week, but THANK YOU – for always coming back! I am constantly encouraged by you. Constantly inspired to try to continue to share a little beauty and art through my photography. And I wish you the very best that life has for you!!!

I actually have your blog link on my blog! I found you from my sister Karen Ray because my daughter is 17 and very interested in 2 of your favorite things: photography and leading worship with her guitar! So here I am, quite often. I love hearing from you. And a little side note, one of my closest friends is close to the end with her husband of 30 years, he has brain cancer, multi form glyomastoma, but only found out February 2009. We just came back from being with them. My daughter and hers wrote a song for him. So bitter sweet. He’s in no pain. A gift from God. We know this journey ahead is in His hands. Thanks for listening.

Oh my dearest cousin…what can I say?? I check you blog often, however, I rarely leave comments. I read what others post and know that you truly inspire a lot of your followers, including me. The pictures you take are beautiful, always capturing the spirit within. And the words with which you share your journey with us, often leave me with a humbled heart! I first saw some photos of you and your family on Melissa Jill’s blog–I don’t remember how I found her — but I want you to know that I have been praying for you and your family ever since I found you.
