Oh! The begging woman! I’ve stopped so many times now and just keep coming back to that photo over and over again. How sad. : ( I sooo want to know what her story is. What her past is like. What brought her to this place of destitution to bow so low in the street and beg for money. Where is her family? Where are her friends? Does she even have any? Where did she stay that night? What will her future be like? What is her name? What does she hope and dream of? So much is loaded into that one picture.
Then again, looking more closely at the photo, I notice a cup with a rosary attached to it. I notice a ring on her finger. Is she Catholic perhaps? I’m not too familiar with Catholicism but I’ve heard of some people {I don’t know if is Catholic or another religion} crawling as a way of showing repentance and penitence {spelling?}. I sure don’t know, but this picture has so many questions and has me intrigued by it! ; )
