Meet Misss Marissa Mellinger – Desert Vista High School Class of 2012 graduate…

Super fun and so super cute is how I’d describe Marissa! She’s got this adorable smile and actually bites her tongue often when smiling too! Meet Marissa Mellinger. Graduating Senior from the class of 2012 from Desert Vista High School! I so loved doing her Senior portraits. I loved her outfits – loved her smile ( yes I mentioned that) and loved her red hair with those BIG baby blue eyes! Such a great combination! Marissa describes herself as Curious, ambitious and passionate. AND… her friends say she’s SASSY quirky and very original! I’d agree whole heartedly. Unique is what might fit best!
One of Marissa’s hobbies are finding new musical bands. In fact we did her shoot on Mill Ave. and at the end of the shoot, there was a band playing and I notices how much Marissa was paying attention to them!
She reminds me of sunshine – and I LOVED that she brought a sunflower for her session. I think it was a perfect fit for her! She does admit to a few bad habits like speeding and procrastinating. She can’t live without her glasses or big earrings and admits to having way too many necklaces! OK… but my favorite earrings she wore during our shoot were the peacock feathers… Loved them!!
Her personal life motto is from Einstein himself, “I have no special talents, I am only passionately curious.” This is pretty awesome Marissa! She will miss that life is fairly easy in high school but will not miss the crowded hallways and half dressed girls. Her favorite high school memory of all is meeting Isaiah!
For the fall, she is still deciding between University of Arizona or Northern Arizona University. Her dream job is “to study people and figure out what makes us human.”
I have a feeling that Marissa can certainly figure this out for all of us!
Marissa, I love that you are unique and original! I know you will shine brightly wherever life takes you. It’s been a great honor for me to photograph you and your family! I wish you well always!
